Cameroon will play France in a high-profile international friendly on 9 October in Grenoble, France.
The indomitable Lionesses will use the match to fine-tune ahead of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON 2018).
The clash will mark Cameroon’s first match against a non-African side since their stunning Women’s World Cup (WWC) debut in 2015.
Cameroon were the only African side to reach the knockouts in Canada 2015—the first time since 1999 that an African side advanced past the group stage in a WWC.
Prior to the friendly, Cameroon will suit up in the 2018 Cosafa Women’s Championship set for 12-22 September.
The African heavyweights will be eyeing a top-three finish in AWCON 2018 in November to qualify for the 2019 WWC in France.
France, looking to clinch their first ever WWC come 2019, will also lock horns with Australia in the October international break (5 October).
They will then wrap up the year with a friendly against Brazil on 10 November in the final Fifa women’s international break of the year.
