Cameroon have knocked out title favourites Nigeria out of the 2015 All African Games.
Super Falcons were shown the door courtesy of a 2–1 defeat to the Lionesses on Tuesday 15 September at the Stade Municipal de Kintélé, Brazzaville.
Therese Abane opened the scoring for Cameroon in the 10th minute before Meyong Menene doubled the lead four minutes later.
Nigeria started the second half with intent and their quest paid off when Onome Ebi drew one back three minutes after the break.
Cameroon’s defence quickly regained their footing, shutting out Nigeria’s lethal attack till the final whistle.
The holders will now face Ghana in the final on Friday 18 September in what will be a rematch of the 2011 final.
On Thursday, Nigeria will get a chance to save face when they meet Ivory Coast in the bronze match.
