Linda Motlhalo scored and provided an assist as holders South Africa beat guest nation Uganda 2-0 on Thursday in the Cosafa Women’s Championship semi-final.
Motlhalo, right from an impressive season for Houston Dash in the USA, gave the hosts the lead in the 8th minute off a long ball from Biyana Kholosa.
She then turned provider, laying the ball for Jermaine Seoposenwe to bury the match in the 68th minute.
With that, Banyana Banyana extended their streak of reaching every Cosafa final since the maiden edition in 2002.
The record four-time champions will now face Cameroon in the final on Saturday, 20 September.
Uganda, the youngest side in the tournament, will meet reigning bronze medalists Zambia in the third-place match on Friday, 21 September.
