Cameroon coach Joseph Ndoko has named a 20-player squad for the friendly against France on 9 October at the Stade des Alpes in Grenoble, France (21h00 local time).
Seven players from Cameroon’s Cosafa squad get the nod, namely Ngo Ndom, Ngo Mbeleck, Raissa Feudjio, Meyong Menene, Ndeme Bayegla, Ninon Abena, Augustine Edjangue.
Returning to the squad are the stars that missed Cosafa, headlined by the former Africa Women’s Player of the Year Gaelle Enganamouit.
She is joined by fellow Europe-based Aboudi Onguene, Yvonne Leuko, Ngo Ndoumbouck, Claudine Meffometo, Ngock Yango, Francine Zouga, Michelle Akaba, Njoya Ajara and Marie Awona.
Rounding off the squad for the friendly are two new faces Lucie Ndolo and Abam Michaela.
France, one of eight European nations that have qualified for the 2019 Women’s World Cup, will also host Australia in the October international break.
They will lock horns with the Matildas on Friday 5 October before taking on Cameroon, who will be using the match to prepare for the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
AWCON 2018, set for Ghana in November, will double as Africa’s qualifiers for the 2019 World Cup with the top three qualifying.
